Monster with Child (3D) 2007

This monster started out as a Mudbox practice project. The design was inspired by a StarWars character from one of those "Art of books". It is credited to "Jun".

The base polygon model was made in Maya then displaced in Mudbox and rendered with R.A.T. One of my goals with this project was to create a conventional lighting setup without any G.I. Only normal Spotlights were used with the addition of a HDR reflection Map. Please Click on the image on the right to see a breakdown.

This image was also submitted to CGTalk forums where it was very well received (4.07 / 5 stars). Well it does feature a monster after all!
